Grilled Hamburgers
Easy & Delicious
Grilled Hamburgers - yummy! With easy recipes and a variety of
ingredients....you can make a perfect burger. Really fun to try different toppings, seasonings, condiments, buns/rolls,
cheeses and seasonings. The thought of biting into a tasty juicy burger, just makes your mouth water, doesn't it!
I want to share with you simple, yet delicious ways to prepare
hamburgers using ground chuck or ground sirloin. Both are perfect for grilling; chuck is 80% lean and sirloin is 85%
lean. Some would argue that a higher percentage of fat makes a
juicier burger......the other side of the argument is about
diet and calories.
I agree with both and use both types of meat. I even go so far
as grilling burgers with extra lean ground beef - 93% lean. I like to focus on the ingredients and proper cooking technique to get the best tasting burger.

The Basic Burger
1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
1 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Pepper
4 Large Hamburger Buns
Condiments: ketchup, mustard
pickles, onions
Divide ground chuck into 4 (6 ounce) burgers, shape into patties. The less you handle the meat, the better the burger. Season both sides with salt & pepper. Cover with plastic wrap, set out for 20 minutes.
Start your grill and heat for 20 minutes. When grill is hot, place burgers on grill. Cook 4-5 minutes, rotating half way through cook time to get great grill marks. Turn and cook another 4-5 minutes, rotating again. Cooked to medium-rare.
During last minute, split hamburger buns down middle,
toast on grill, about 1 minute.
