Sauteing...
Easy To Learn!
This one really is a breeze! From vegetables to meats, chicken or fish, sauteing is by far, one of the easiest cooking techniques to learn, and one you will get the hang of very quickly.
This is the first of five easy cooking techniques I want to share with you. I promise with a little practice, persistence and patience you can master my Top 5 Easy Cooking Techniques like a pro.
This cooking technique uses a small amount of fat (olive oil or butter) in a hot pan.....to form a nice brown crust on your food.
By adding a liquid like chicken stock, wine, vinegar or cream....you pick up all those brown bits on the bottom of the pan.....this is deglazing.....provides an EXCELLENT sauce for your meat, fish, chicken or veggies.
Sauteing is the same as pan-frying. From the French - to jump or leap in the pan!
The Pan: Very Important to select a non-stick skillet with curved edges, big enough to hold the food you are cooking.
