Sage
Sage is a hardy herb that is great in many recipes, not just Thanksgiving Stuffing. It is perfect for pastas, breads, soups and meat dishes. There are many different varieties and they include:
Berggarten
Common (Garden)
Tricolor, Golden and Purple Sage

The common (or garden) is what found at the market and has the most well-balanced flavor. Berggarten is much stronger, be careful not to use to much. Tricolor, golden and purple are lighter in flavor, so you will need to us more in your recipes.
When buying, choose fresh-looking herbs with a lean scent and good color. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will keep for several say and to revive wilting leaves, place them stem side down in a glass of cool water.
Health Benefits:
Sage contains some calcium and vitamins A & C, but even more important, the herb works as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiperspirant. It is also an excellent memory enhancer.
