No Bake Cookies

This easy recipe for No Bake Cookies is delicious. This recipe has been in my family since I was a little kid, which was just yesterday! Okay maybe 45 yesterdays ago but nonetheless these cookies are super simple to make and they won't last long. The combination of chocolate, oatmeal and coconut is a favorite for kids of all ages.

2 cups sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup milk
6 tbs Hershey's Special Dark
Cocoa Powder
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  • In a 3 quart pan bring to boil, over
medium-high heat, the sugar, butter, milk
and cocoa powder. Stir to mix and continue
to stir while mixture comes to a rolling boil.
    Remove from heat. Add vanilla.
  • Add oatmeal, coconut and nuts(optional), mix
well and drop heaping teaspoons full onto
wax paper. Cool 20 minutes and enjoy. Store
    in air tight plastic container.

  • So simple, so good. Perfect for a holiday cookie
exchange party or great for after school snacks..
