Grape Nut Bread

This easy recipe is fantastic. Sweet and nutty, a family tradition. You are probably wondering, is this any good! I am here to tell you it is EXCELLENT.

As far back as I can remember my Mom has been making this tasty treat, at least 40 years! In my family, it is a must have with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

Generally, someone will make at least 2 loaves and up to 4 because we all want to take some home for breakfast the next day. It is wonderful toasted with a little butter and jam, yum!

Give it a try. It is easy and it freezes well.

Grape Nut Bread

1/2 cup grape nut cereal
1 cup of milk
1 cup of sugar
1 beaten egg
2 cups of flour
l/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder

  • Soak cereal in milk for 1 hour.
  • Mix ingredients in order given. Pour into a
    greased loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

  • So Simple, So Tasty. Share this recipe with family
and friends, they will appreciate this one!
