Cheesy Broccoli Casserole

Cheesy Broccoli Casserole is quick and easy. The perfect side dish for your favorite meal.

Broccoli crowns cut into bite size pieces blanched and covered in a creamy cheese sauce are then baked in the oven with buttery cracker crumbs is absolutely delicious. Comfort Food - Yum!


3 cups fresh broccoli (crowns),
cut into bite size pieces
1 can cream of celery soup
1/4 cup butter
1 cup cubed Velveeta cheese
1/2 cup chopped onion, saute 5 minutes
1/2 cup sour cream
3/4 cup crushed buttery crackers
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp kosher salt
13 x 9 glass baking dish

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat a medium
    size sauce pan of water on high heat. When water
    boils add the broccoli, turn heat down to a low boil,
    cook broccoli approximately 6 minutes. Drain and
    pour into a lightly greased baking dish.
  • In a small saute pan, cook onions in 1 tbs of butter for 5 minutes.
  • In the sauce pan used to cook the broccoli, add the soup, butter, cheese and heat over medium heat stirring frequently to melt cheese and warm the sauce. Add garlic powder, pepper & salt when the mixture melts, mix well. Add onions to sauce, pour over broccoli.
  • In a plastic bag, add crackers and crush with a
    rolling pin, continue until you have 3/4 cup crushed
    crackers. Sprinkle over broccoli. Bake for 30 minutes
    or until the cracker crumbs begin to brown.


  • This is a Cheesy Good dish!
    Serve with Roasted Chicken or a Standing Rib Roast.
